Physical Education and Sports Department, which was established in 1995 within the body of Trakya University Health Sciences Institute, currently provides postgraduate education in Master's (M.Sc) and Doctorate (Ph.D) programs. The purpose of the Department of Physical Education and Sports is to transfer the basic knowledge and skills necessary for the processes of analyzing sport sciences, questioning and researching, making predictions and taking the right decisions. During the education process, students do the necessary studies within the framework of scientific principles. It is aimed to design efficient systems in the field of sport sciences, to train qualified personnel, to introduce developing sports technology opportunities, and to develop sport sciences throughout the country. Thus, the student who participated in applied training programs is aimed to be a staff  who have a grasp of the structure, functioning and behaviour of the human organism, and knows the Turkish sports organization and can make comparative evaluations, and has the qualifications of teaching and coaching.
