A sapling planting ceremony was held by the Institute of Health Sciences in the garden of the Institutes Building to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of our Republic.
The event, attended by faculty members, administrative staff, and graduate students, began with a speech by the Director of the Institute of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Necdet Süt. In his address, Prof. Dr. Süt emphasized that our Republic has now become a century-old plane tree and expressed gratitude to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all those who contributed to the founding of the Republic. He highlighted the need for even greater efforts to advance our country and thanked everyone who participated in and contributed to the organization of the ceremony.
Following the speech, a "Republic Plane Tree" was planted by faculty members, administrative staff, and students in honor of the 100th anniversary. In addition, almond, walnut, and pine saplings were planted in various parts of the garden, concluding the ceremony.
